From 1977 through 2000 attorney Peter Gersten, representing first Ground Saucer Watch (GSW) and then Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS), sued the CIA, NSA, Army, and the DoD for UFO related documents under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
